Sakurai wins its fifth Gold Leaf Award
The Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) has announced that Sakurai was a Gold level winner for Best Use of Foil Embossing - Calendars (Industry Suppler) in its 33rd Annual Gold Leaf Awards Competition held during the recent FSEA Print Embellishment Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
Sakurai has won four previous Gold Leaf awards in this same category, and this years marks its first Gold.
Gold, silver and bronze winners were awarded in each of 35 finishing and binding applications that featured a wide range of digital and conventional methods of print embellishments, finishing and foil stamping.
Sakurai’s award winning entry, inspired by the zodiac sign, the Year of the Horse features Pegasus at its center, symbolizing challenge, exploration, leap and progress as it soars into the unknown. The Sakurai calendar combines full-color UV offset printing and foil processing on clear material and includes screenprinting on a Sakurai Maestro cylinder screen press equipped with a Natgraph dryer and a Sakurai LQM-105 ScreenFoil Hot Foil Stamper.
