Highlighting the Sakurai exhibit at Graph Expo '08 in Chicago, was the most popular model of Sakurai's family of presses - the 575SDC 5-color offset press plus coater in the 6-up format size. Also on display and creating unusual interest was Sakurai's Cylinder Screen Press printing a glitter UV coating on a previously printed sheet from the Sakurai 575SDC.

The theme of the display was the "Sakurai Family of Presses" using colorful "animals with an attitude" images to convey the concept of small to large sizes in the family of offset and cylinder screen presses.

"Graph Expo was attended by buyers who were investing in equipment purchases, in spite of the recent economic events. Prospering business conditions overshadowed the gloom and uncertainty from the economic reports and kept the show interesting, busy and upbeat" said Don Bence, Vice President, Sakurai USA, Inc.

At Graph Expo, Graphco, an Authorized Sakurai Dealer based in Solon, Ohio announced the sale of a Sakurai 575SDC to Multiscope Imaging Services, a large commercial printer located in Pittsburgh, PA.

"Sakurai had good results from the 4-day show and looks forward to a stabilizing economy in 2009". Bence added.

Sakurai was also a major exhibitor at the recent SGIA '08 exhibition in Atlanta, Georgia which was attended by over 19,000 industry professionals.A Sakurai Maestro MS-102AII Ultra High Precision Cylinder Screen Press was featured and used to apply a high gloss coating to assorted posters. "Overall it was a successful show for Sakurai with a number of solid prospects identified for our full range of Cylinder Screen Presses", according to David Rose, National Sales Manager, Screen Press Systems.
